Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Any recommendations on a laptop to buy, preferably for editing short films?

I've had my Dell Inspiron for over three years now and it just can't seem to take any decent file sizes for editing clips anymore (My short holiday clips will barely stream). I've just started my final year in college and need a new laptop for editing my short films on, possibly with Avid or SonyVegas?

As well as that my only other use would be for general surfing/social networking/uploading photos. Possibly for playing The Sims also.

With a budget between 500-750ish, does such a laptop exist?

    Please help, thank you.

Acer laptop, quad Core i7, 8 GB RAM, just over €600 @ SOL

Intel HD 4000 graphics plays The Sims 3 reasonably well.
