Long shot but is there any where in the city centre that offers free Irish history courses/classes? I was looking at a 10 week course online in City College but out of my price range at the moment. Any help greatly appreciated.

Trinity offers extramural classes for €150 or €75 for concessions. You could try this one, which starts in January: Ireland and the Union.
