Was in yard and looked at calendar in dairy.

March June August sept and December are all five.

The whole lot adds up to 53 weeks if I'm not mistaken.

Was chatting a guy this week and we got talking about them and we both were of the same opinion, they want it all there own way and there prices are ya ya.They seem to have the ball at there foot down south though and are getting away with it, even reading the journal there this morn about the lely stand just was the cherry on the cake to me, am i being unfair in my opinion????

Glanbia the very same as any other business to deal with, shin guards and gum shield.

You need to know prices or they will ride you but so would you or I.

I deal almost exclusivly with them but am prepared to move to another supplier though they would need to be local and offer a good service.

Regarding the Dealer in IFJ, croc of crap. When you think of Strathroy wanting customers down here as they can't buy milk on their own door step, it was handy to have a phone to hand when lorry arrived. Who's quota would the milk be collected in?

They weren't asked to collect milk or supply feed to this herd, don't get me wrong they are no angels, but their cheques always work

Fair enough regarding the journal, but they are trying to break into our area and there prices are so far of the mark its a joke iam wonder ing are they taking us for mugs up here or are they getting away with murder down south because of there e strong hold in certain areas

I don't know of other areas but around here we have huge competition. I had a meeting with a supplier from Limerick wanting to cherry pick customers and gain a foot hold. We are in a grain growing area so we have lots of choices. Are they securing any orders up your end?

    What's a 5 week month?

They add days to get in 365 as opposed to 12x4 which is of course 48 so 4 short

A common mistake by people renting out houses apparently

I still don't get it. Are ye paid per 4 or 5 weeks or something? We're just paid per calendar month:confused:

march, june, september and december are normally the 5 week months- so cheque is normally bigger than a 4 week month- except for this year where they made august a 5 week month too

So, just for example, your March cheque might have the last collection in February and the first collection in April included in it?
