ICF house Cork (render question)

Hi all, I'm currently in the process of building an Icf house in Cork. Very happy with the system i used due to the speed of working with it, great thermal values and attention to detail around window opes etc for eliminating cold bridges. Windows are almost all in so i plan on getting external rendering done as soon as posisibe before the worst of the winter starts! Can anyone reccomend a render to use or even one definitely not to use due to bad experience with cracking etc? thanks in advance for any response/ help with my question. Mark

Depends on the type of ICF you're using, but I used the Eurozone system and used the plastic caps to hold an expanded steel mesh and then just got a standard sand & cerment plaster over a "scud" coat, six years later and it still looks as good as the day it was laid.

Most ICF providers seem to recomment an acrylic based render but I can't personally comment on them even thoug they appear to be fairly good.

Thanks Dolanbaker for your reply. has anyone here used the acrylic based reender? and if possible a guideline price per mtr squared to budget for buying and applying render. thanks
