EMTEC Movie Cube

I have all of my movies and TV shows on a hard drive supplemental to my laptop. I also have an Android MiniPC with a USB Port so if I want to watch a TV show or a flick I transfer it onto a memory stick and plug it into the Android MiniPC and watch away using VLC Player. Was explaining this to a friend recently and he told me that there was this new yoke called a MovieCube by EMTEC which he checked out and said there wasn't a single filetype that he was aware of that it could not play. Now that's all fine and good but he couldn't give me any specifics on it just told me to google MovieCube and check it out. It all seems as described by my friend but there are so many that I've come across on Amazon, that I can't figure out which one is best for me. Which is why I'm here... looking for a bit of advice.

My budget's not too big, about €100 at most and all I want to do is hook my hard drive up to it and be able to play directly from there onto my TV. Does such a MovieCube exist and if so what model would suit me best? Thanks for the advice folks.
