    Hi,

Seeking some advice here if anyone can provide me with some :) I have a business degree but I haven't done much with that degree since I graduated three years ago. For two of those years I worked in an office admin role but to be honest I could have done that job when I was 15. It genuinely was not testing and I wasn't really learning much. For the last three months I've been working in the accounts department of a small firm but once again, I don't feel as if I'm learning much and I'm worried that I'm not specialising in any particular area. I'm using Tasbooks/doing credit control/basic accounts stuff but it's all straightforward enough and nothing too difficult.

So where do I go from here? 26 now and I don't fancy going back to study. I toyed with the idea of doing some computer-related course in the past but it never happened. I'd like to set up my own business someday but I'm thinking I'm about ten years away from something like that so I probably should just knock that on the head right now. I'm always on the lookout on jobs.ie and the like for various roles but it always feels like a random search and I really never meet the job requirements. The only ones I ever seem to qualify for are the Job Bridge ones.

I don't like my job at the moment. Obviously I'd like to enjoy going to work every day but that's simply not the case.

Feel like I'm in limbo at the moment if I'm honest.

I know you've said you don't fancy going back to study, but...

I was in a similar enough position as you, wasn't getting what I wanted out of my job and after a lengthy period decided to go back and do an MSc. Started a few weeks ago and don't regret it for a second. Aside from enjoying it in itself, it's going to certainly boost my chances of getting a better job at the end of it. Just consider it is what I'd say.
