where to get scratches removed from plastic fairing

My bike, a V-Strom has front plastic fairings which unfortunately have some scratches from parking it near push-bike racks and getting it through side passages etc. They're not bad but ugly and I'd like to know if its possible to have them removed without having to replace the fairings which each cost ~ €230 Any ideas if…

If the scratches are not through the paint then you should be able to make them look a lot better with a bit of elbow grease and some different grades of polish.
