I'm sorry for this but have to ask: I'm buying a new pair and am wondering if anyone has experience of Meindl Meran boots? They are classed as A-B but feel soft. It's either these of Meindl Bernina (classed as B) as I've got wide feet. Help and advice appreciated. The meran fits like a slipper in the shop! But will it be too soft for places like Currantwohill, parts of the Galtees etc?

I have a pair of Meindl Vermont A-B soles and they are perfect for hillwalking, you only need the stiffer soles if you are getting into scrambling or mountaineering.
