    A Free Weekend.
    Very Complicated Job,
Requires help, contact mates for support, May require lot's Liquid amber to quench thirst.

    P.s Don't leave evidence around.

    What's in your garden?

    Sweep up leaves
If your hedges or shrubs need a trim, give them a run over.
    Final grass cut if needed
Weeding is good to do now.
    Plant bulbs
    Turn compost
Brush sand into paving slab gaps
    Rake gravel over.
    Clean paths.

    I think i prefer jezko's idea.....

seriously need to do something with lawn....too many "muddy puddle" (think pappa pig, young kids and paddling pool) have left lawn needing some love and attention. any thoughts on what i good do this weekend with it and whether the timing is right, given weather conditions etc....lawn gets quite wet and soggy during winter....

Soggy lawn? Depends how bad it is. You could hire one of those machines that punches holes in it and brush with lawn sand, but I've only done that spring/summer. Plenty of better lawn experts than me on here though. I hate lawn... way too high maintenance for me! :)

    Yup,

    My plans are:

    Strim where required
    Trim back hedges
    Cut lawns
    Trim back heather and lavendar
And as much weeding as I can get done

oh, if I have time wash the cars.

    - apply an Autumn Winter lawn feed
    - continue to dead head herbaceous perennials to prolong flowering display
    - trim and reduce lavender by approx. 30%
    - still time to plant late spring flowering bulbs for next year
    - good time to trim hedging and evergreen shrubs ahead of winter

topped and trimed hedges (15 black sacks filled)

    cut grass and bought aerator!

varnished front doors (by 2) and oiled windows

bought rib eye and put on bbq....enjyed with some fried field mushrooms, some rocket and parmesam salad and a nice bottle of malbec and watched three eposides of "the pacific" which has been on my book shelf for the last three years!

and played golf on Sunday before the family came home!
