D15, looking for valuer and structural engineer (home survey)

    Hi

    We went sale agreed on a house last week. Dublin 15 area. First time buyers so the process is new to us. And were on holidays abroad which is making things more difficult.

    Anyway we need an independent valuer (for the mortgage provider) and would also like a "structural engineer" (may not be correct title) to check the house out for structural issues, dry rot, cracks etc that would produce a report outlining any issues in the house. Basically to do a home survey.

    Can anyone recommend companies in the D15 area. PM is fine if you dont want to name anyone on thread.

    Any advice welcome also on this phase of the process.
