    Hi there.

Myself and the G/F are going to Orlando In December for the new year.

We are flying via Washington DC with United.

What are united like for flying? Is there much legroom? i assume you get a meal? (how about internal flights?)

Has anyone flown into Dulles airport and transferred? Is it hassle-free?

also, is immigration Done in Dublin or Washington (or Orlando?)

you will arrive in Dulles as a domestic passenger having cleared Customs and Immigration in Dublin and just head for your next gate.

Legroom is standard pitch unless you opt for United Plus which in my mind is well worth it for the transatlantic sector. Lunch will be served about 90 minutes after take off with a snack about an hour before landing.

there will be food for purchase on the internal flights but cash is not accepted.

Was in Dulles with United a few weeks back.

As previous poster said , you'll arrive into Dulles as a domestic passenger having cleared customs in Dublin. This means that you simply need to walk to your next gate.

You may not have to change terminal as all the United flights land arrive in the same one. Terminal transfers are pretty handy in Dulles , they have a shuttle bus system (very unique, they are like rail carriages on stilts) running between each terminal so easy to move around...

For the internal flight, as you are all ready air-side , easiest thing to do is buy food and big it aboard - Stop at one of the fast-food places and buy whatever you fancy and bring it with you , cheaper and likely nicer than the on-board stuff....There's a Starbucks and a Subway at the very least in the United Terminal.

We are flying with United in a few weeks to Orlando via Newark, pretty much all the reviews I've come across are very positive, I believe that their seat back IFE is very good, soft drinks, tea & coffee are free, they are cashless so you will have to use a credit card for any on board purchases.

The internal flight will be more similar to a Ryan air flight
