    Prestashop

I have used it - if you needs are fairly simple it may suit

Most of the Content Management Systems (CMSs) have plugins that support ecommerce functionality (e.g. Joomla/Virtuemart, Joomla/Redshop, Wordpress/Wpecommerce). Then there are ones which are just for ecommerce such as Prestashop (already mentioned), Magento, Zencart, OSCommerce. There are also hosted (not open source usually) solutions such as Shopify, Volusion, BigCommerce or portals such as Etsy, Ebay that might suit.

So, there is a ton of stuff out there - What do you want to achieve? Fill us in a wee bit and we can get more specific for you.
