City 999 Phone in Crime Areas/Like on motorway

    Hello,

I'm making this thread wanting your opinions on the following idea.

Ireland is a great country, unfortunately the crime of thugs and scum is rising very high.

    Idea:
Like on the motorway, you have the emergency phones. The idea is to put some emergency phones in the city, where people have been stabbed, etc. It directs them to an emergency operator.

    - Add them into crime areas, where people are likely to be stabbed. The thing is, it would not be direct on the spot (of course), but it would help and greatly encourage people (victim) or (on lookers) to get phone for help. Or if someone was having a heart attack, lying in the street almost dead, etc, etc, etc.

Now, lets say some scum started attacking/assaulting someone random on the street, someone near by could quickly run to the phone box and get the help, it could also be a quick single to the Garda so like it would:
[+] - Make it easier for the Garda/Policing unit to find the scum. (eg: time stamp, location(area),etc.
[+] - Prevent crime rates in general, as this would make the attackers less likely to attack you and I on the street.
[+] - And many many other great benefits for it.

    Thank You for reading,

    Q&A:
People could just use their mobile phones to get emergency help:

A:There are many answer for this, but lets go with for example "people can use mobile phones on motorways".

    What's your idea on this?

    What's your opinion below?

They wouldn't last a second in high crime areas, they'd no sooner be up than they'd be ripped down again. The type of person willing to commit a violent crime isn't above criminal damage.

Also there'd be a massive amount of prank calls from bored scrotes looking for their jollies

Yes, of course good point. There would be high quality CCTV's put in place, once they have been caught and punished for public disorder it should stop.

Seriously man, stop picking new user names. It's not hard to figure out. As for your phones... As you already said in another thread (and in another one of your guises) you didn't phone the gardai when you saw people being beaten unconscious because you didn't want to be a rat.

So what's the point of these phones when you wouldn't even have the balls to make the call?

There was a trial a while back, you entered a special code and someone would then help you in being passed to the service you needed help from
