DVR HDD

    Hi guys..
    Can someone enlighten me on what makes some HDD's suitable for DVR's and others not.. We have standard PC's hooked to equipment at work that record data continuously and the HDD's are not a problem at all..

    And then maybe point me in the direction of a reputable online retailer for a 500GB drive..

    Seagate sv35 had a great reputation for DVRs, Hitachi death stars not so much.
    I find now that once you have the dvr connected through a ups you'll have little trouble
