    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone is aware of any salons set up in a similiar manner to those on New York for your nails, particularly for pedicures.... Ie those comfy chairs in rows, walk in and most importantly cheap as chips!

    Thanks!

Yes! Mink in Ballsbridge and Donnybrook - www.mink.ie

Fab place for manis and pedis.

Edit: just saw your cheap as chips comment. LOL. Mink is not cheap, sorry.

I wish SOMEONE would open a NYC style nail bar. If the prices were cheap enough they would build up a loyal clientele in no time. Definitely a business opportunity there for some enterprising person.

Unfortunately I don't think such a place exists in Dublin! Definitely not cheap anyway. Sometimes Groupon or the like will have offers for pedis for cheap enough but you'll have to keep an eye on their sites. Another option is to have a look on salonaddict.ie. The further you book in advance the cheaper it is.

Fifth Avenue on Wicklow is well priced. Not NY cheap, but definitely affordable to go regularly

Fifth Avenue is my favourite place to go for pedis also. Have never been disappointed.
While Mink is nice, it's way too expensive.
Another one I've seen around the same price as Fifth Avenue is Tropical Popical, but have never been there so comment on the service.

This seems exactly what I was looking for!! Think I shall have to book myself a mini manicure to test it out ;-)

Hi - had a mini manicure here yest.... perfect! It is busy busy - where's that recession everyone is talking about?!!! Its probably not as slick as some of salons but I can't complain and would have no hesitation recommending it.

And I only just saw the manicure section inside the door - plan is to book a pedicure when I next am paid!

Thanks for a great recommendation :-)

I'm going next week for Shellac, it's been too long since my last visit :)

There's a place opened recently called "New York Nails" on Georges Street Upper in Dun Laoghaire, VERY cheap!

Just looked at the 5th Avenue price list. Their Shellac is €30 which is expensive enough (I realise a lot of places charge this but lately I have seen salons charge less) but what is more annoying they charge €10 for removal of it. That is a joke, If they are charging €30 the removal price should be included

If you go back to get Shellac redone it's included in the price. If you just want it removed, no new Shellac, then it's €10.

Just buy a big bottle of acetone and remove your own. The reason sAlons tend to charge for removal is there's no way they'll know if they've put the shellac on for you so you might just be coming in to get it off for free and getting it on elsewhere
