    Hi all,
My partner is currently driving from Cork to Donegal with a 15 month old in the back seat!!!!!!!!
The display is telling her that the boot is open and a beeping sound is going off. Thing is, the boot is fully shut and there is nothing stuck in the latch.
First thing is, does anyone know how to turn off the beeping before she goes nuts,
and secondly, whats up with this????
Done a google search but no real clear info.
    Thanks

Her best bet is probably temporarily to pull the fuse that controls the alarm for open door/boot. If you google 08 passat fuse diagram or similar you should find which one. Wont fix the problem, but may stop her and little one going insane

The micro switch in the boot lock is faulty, first port of call is the wiring inside the rubber tubing between the tailgate and the body, I dont know if the chime can be deactivated via VCDS but I will find out later..
