Samsung Galaxy S4 - Portable Wi-Fi hotspot problem

    When I try to use my Samsung Galaxy S4 as a portable wi-fi hotspot for my iPad or PC and put in the password it gives me, I get a message on both saying "unable to join the network Android AP". I had no problems with my old phone the Samsung Galaxy S3 when I used it as a hotspot. I'm wondering is there a box I need to check or uncheck, really annoying me now! any help greatly appreciated.
