So the competition can take place anytime between November and March, and it give 48hr notice to surfers taking part but how do the public find out about it so we can go watch? We always hear about it after it happens and would love to actually go to it.
So is there a twitter or Facebook we can follow that will let you know when it's going to happen

Loads of locals on twitter - you can often catch the news there, @sligotourism would tweet about it if it was coming up. They did good coverage of it last year.

Follow facebookdotcom/SUPforall, they are always informing about the surf action and are there in real time! Do not miss it, drop what you are doing and go see it if it is going off! Really, it is mind-blowing!
