    Clearly the supplier is liable if you have done nothing to indicate that the supplies should be zero rated.

    If he was to issue credit notes and re issue invoices inc VAT would your company be in a position to recover the VAT? It won't cost you anything.

    is the supplier based in Republic of Ireland?

    Reference to 13B would indicate that they are in Ireland.
