Milk was collected last night and i milked this morning and never turned tank on to cool. It never happened me before. What is the likely hood of this ruining the next three days milk? Tank was left off until four this afternoon from eight this morn. I have had both tbc's back for this month at 3 and 4 and always have a good reading. Farm

Same happen me but only one milking in tank and it ok. Presume you switch on as soon as you found out. If only one milking in tank you should be ok, if two or more then there high chance of problems. Can you get milk collected before your next due date

Hmmm If your liquid milk, definitely not worth risking it, high TBC is an utter no no for any sort of fresh milk. In any case, I'm fairly sure they always test the whole lorrys milk, and if the lorry has a high TBC, they will go back and test each farmers sample till they find out whos milk was high. At the very least, I'd be calling the milk adviser and ask his opinion. I think with Glanbia, the fine for very high TBC is 4c/l on the whole months collection, and this is a 5week period we are in now, it really isn't worth the risk in my view.

Yep ring milk advisor that's what he is there for, often had suspected antibiotics in tank n he came out n tested no prob, better be sure than sorry, they are ok to deal with usually!
