Adding someone to lease

    Hi all,

    I have a quick question regarding the above.

    Two of us will be moving into a 3 bed house within the next few weeks. Ideally we will either find a third person before that happens or we will search once we have taken the place. This would of course be mentioned to the landlord.

    My question if we find this third person after we move in,2 of us would cover the cost of the property until the third is found, can we simply just add that person to the same lease agreement that we have with the landlord so that they have the same rights and responsibilities that we have when it comes to living in said dwelling.

    You need to check with the landlord in advance. It should be possible, but only with their permission (which they are not obliged to give).
