Well people whats going to happen now with leased entitlements under the new scheme. My understanding is they are now belonging to the farmer that worked the land in 2013 but I will also say I dont have the first notion what will happen. Any opinions.

Hasn't been decided yet, but I'd put my money on them going back to the landlord at the end of the lease,

seems crazy, but would think the same even if the land owner hasnt farmed since 2002

    Yep.
It'll help keep the gentry on side and tennants down. Familiar isn't it.

Just my own personal opinion....nothing else,
Whichever way it goes, the decision will have to stand up legally.
A friend in the retirement scheme was told by his solicitor that anything that's leased out has to come back to the original owner at the end of the lease.
You know yourself you can get ten different legal opinions from ten different solicitors

Yes but how will they claim them if they were not farming in 2013 is there going to be some sort of reserves where entitlements can be parked and exchanged
