Really heartbreaken to see Gazza's battle with the booze(ITV) and what its done to a relatively young man. A lot of us here in Ireland can surely relate to the demon drink and the hell it brings when abused. I'm old enough to remember him playing for us, he never fulfilled his potential and is now dicing with death. What can you say? It is self inflicted but like I said, Heartbreaking.

Some have sympathy, others have none, everyone has an opinion.
I like to remember him as my schoolboy idol, brilliant footballer.

One of the best we've ever had. People go on about Bale last year but Gazza in 91 was far better. 20 goals from central midfield and single handedly dragged us to an FA Cup final. The goals against Oxford, Portsmouth and Notts Co get the hairs standing thinking about them.

I really hope he finds peace with himself.

Can't really agree with the first part of that. Although his performance in the semi final against Arsenal is one of my all time favourite memories.

Agree with you 100% on the second part.
