Venue(s) for *small* meal and reception

    Hey!

We're having a very small wedding and would like to have it in Dublin city so everyone involved can get there easily.

We'd like to start with a small meal for just family (14 people), followed by a "finger-food" reception for 50-60 friends and extended family. So I really do mean a small wedding :o

Would we be best looking for a single venue that could cater both, or would we be better off looking at two separate places? Everywhere I have looked seems to be too big.

Is there anywhere in Dublin city that would have small rooms to suit both these functions?

    Thanks!

    Antilles

Most restaurants or big pubs would be able to accommodate you for 50-60 for finger food.

There's a list around somewhere that was posted recently of lots of restaurants that cater weddings, I'll see if I can find it.

Hi, I'm doing this exact thing but in the south east area. Does anyone know of any hotels that will do this? I've tried a couple and they'll only do the big traditional wedding.
    Thanks in advance

We had our ceremony in the registry office, then family meal in Brasserie Sixty6 on Georges Street for about 20, and then headed across the road to the Candle Bar (Kellys Hotel above Hogans) for a party in their private Residents Bar. Best thing was we stayed in the Penthouse Apartment in the hotel that night - loved it!
