Hi, We have a competition running to give away €1000 for a good viral video. Basically we have first price €700, second €200 and third €100. We launched it on our FaceBook page with 13,000 fans and on our eZine and bannered it on our home page but we are getting very few entries, any suggestions on getting it our there would really be appreciated.
Have a look at love furniture ie for details.
    Or why not enter!
    We tried twitter too btw.

Maybe people don't want to do a load of work for next to nothing?

You'd be better spent sticking two grand into getting a really good viral video made instead of spending one grand on getting a load of half-arsed ones made.

That's not the point of the competition. The point is to get a load of people to spread the company name about, the few that make the film will then have all their family and friends checking in or voting. It's access to the filmmakers facebook friends really.

At least it's a genuine competition, most supposed facebook competitions were you like and share are a complete sham, they can't even see the names of all the entrants.

The only real problem with this method of promotion is you've got a limited audience, very few are going to make the effort, or have the resources and those that do will probably make a pretty crappy video.

I'd include photos too as everyone is confident taking photos.

Started getting a couple of half decent entries here now. This one is petty swish:

Might be a winner right there. :-)
