I used the m50 a few times in late august, I never paid the next day thought i would just wait for the bill to arrive as it has before, I still havent had the bill yet so i emailed eflow last friday explaining the situation, but still have heard nothing back from them, I dont want to get stung for a massive fine, anybody got any usefull suggestions as to what my next step should be? Thanks.

It usually takes a few months for the bill to arrive.
I have a direct debit set up with them and I used the M50 twice in July. That bill came last week, so there's time yet.

Didn't even know they sent bills, I thought you had to pay within 24 hours of using it or be fined no?

i dont have an account with them. I am referring to the bill they send out saying you used the toll etc and you have to pay extra because you didnt pay by 8pm next day etc, so bring this letter to paypoint and make sure they scan the barcode etc, I only used the m50 once last year and I dont think it took this long to receive the bill, I hope you are correct, I just dont want to get screwed, with a fine.

Eflow has a forum here you can ask in too.
Hmm, for some reason it's set as Inactive. Not sure why.

ok i seem to be confusing the situation, yes i mean i should get a letter from them because i did not pay by 8pm and the "fine" is I have to pay extra, cant even remember how much extra (possibly double?). The vehicle is deffo in my name and address as I get the notices to pay the tax when it is due and i guess they (eflow) use the same database?.
they said they try to reply within 24 hrs to emails (mon to fri) i emailed on the friday via their website ( explaing situation and providing car reg).
when i said "bill" i meant "fine"

Ring them up and find out firstly how much is owed. Then offer to set up a video account; they will probably wave the fines and just bill you for what you should have paid initially. If you use the M50 even remotely regularly its well worth setting up the account; it costs nothing to have if you dont use it and its well worth it to be able to use the M50 and not have to worry about paying the toll by 8pm the next day. I think it even works out cheaper to have an account.

Or just go into a shop with a payzone sign and give them your reg and they'll be able to tell you what you owe.

Definitely get the video account if you only use it a handful of times. You get an email notification when the payment (direct debit) goes through. As well as that the toll is cheaper than 'per trip' basis

I've had e-flow notices forwarded from a customer this morning, for journeys on the 21st September, so there is definately something amiss here.

Are you sure you didn't sign up to an account at some point, and it's going through by DD?

Iif you've had the car a while, and have recieved previous notices, then the notices for recent journeys will definately have been issued. At this stage they may even be with Pearce & Fitzgibbon.

    Hi,

If you make a trip on the M50 the journey has to be paid by the standard payment deadlines regardless of whether you have received the notice.
Journeys can be paid before you travel online on eflow.ie, over the phone on 1890 50 10 50 or in your local Payzone outlet.

After you travel you have until the 8pm the following day to pay at 3.10e rate or an additional 3e penalty will be applied. There is a time period of 14 days to pay these charges, after this time allowance an extra late penalty of €41.00 is charged.

If you want to PM your details to me I can check the balance for you.

    Kind Regards,
    Maureen
