Dj Fee

    Hi guys,

Quick question for you. I have a potential slot cued up in a Dublin late bar in the coming weeks and I wanted to get your opinion on how much I should be looking for if they decide they want me to spin on a regular basis. They have their own setup so obviously this would reduce my fee.

The reason I'm asking is because I used to DJ years ago but had to put on the long finger as I went back to college and between that and day job I didn't have the time. In that time the recession happened and I know DJ fees have come down as well but I don't want to undersell myself at the same time.

If the gig comes to fruition I would be playing from 8 p.m. until 1.30 - 2 a.m. Friday or Saturday night so roughly six hours of spinning. Any help on what I should set my stall out at would be greatly appreciated. Its a small enough place but it does good business. Also would it be an idea to do the first gig for free as its me who's pushing to get a slot.

    Cheers guys.

150-200 for the night, if it was a nightclub at least 200
