Best way to get to Bridge Street Galway

    Hey guys,

I'm doing an evening course in the Bridge Mills for the next couple of weeks. I'm not from the area, so I'm just wondering which is the best way to get to Bridge Street, coming into town from the Limerick direction.

I looked it up and got two different versions - one via the Dock Road, Flood St. and Cross St., the other via Newcastle Road and Presentation Road. Which would have the least traffic buildup at around 4.45/5.00 PM?

Also, would I be able to get an on-street parking spot in the area around the same time or would they all be full?

    Thanks!

Both are as bad as each other :) From Limerick I'd go first option - Docks, Flood Street, Cross Street and Bridge Street.
Calculate for a lot of traffic around that time when everyone working east of town travel home to Salthill and further.

Depends, you may get lucky. If you can't find a spot use the parking here, next to Mill Street Gardai station or Jury's Inn parking here, both 2 mins walk from Bridge Mills.

At that time of the day, the docks hands down.

Agree with the two posters above about the docks, but make sure you factor in rush traffic.. Carparking is available in mill street carpark. Which is literally about 2 mins walk from bridge Street.

Id park in doughiska. Get the 409 into town and just stroll down the town.
