Off the top of my head the ones I know of are:
    Software of Excellence (SOE) Exact
    Bridges
    XLCR
    Open Dental
    Coincidental
    Panara
    Mac Practice

Exact is by far and a way the most popular as far as I know, software is quite location specific so if the dentist need the medical card, or PRSI forms on the system it need to be a system localised to Ireland.

Henry Schein has software for oral surgeons and periodontists who do surgery - OMSVision and PerioVision. Happy to help if you have any questions. Good luck with your job search.

Out of interest, is there particular software for orthodontists?

And what does the software enable them to do?

There are a few, Dolfin is one I am familiar with. Orthodontists need software that makes detailed measurements from X-rays that is specific to orthodontic treatment. I am sure there are others that I am not familiar with.

This is an old thread, but I thought I would add my 2 pence.

There is also another cloud based software out there called Aerona Dental. It's subscription based so no initial set up or licence costs. It also has a section in it for Orthodontic assessments. Worth a look if you are still in the market.
