    Hello all,

I got the dreaded notice in my job last month and my last day is Thursday and
what I'm not sure about is what I'm entitled to on Thursday as I'm due redundancy which i worked out on the revenue website and I'm also due 17 days holidays.
Will i get all this when I'm leaving on Thursday or do i have to wait as my manager is very vague and also i presume i will need my p45 and a letter from my employers stating I'm being made redundant

Sorry but i have never had to do this before

    Thanks in advance

If the company is still in operation, then usually all payments will be issued either on the next salary date or on a set date.

When I was made redundant, I was given a date when I would get my redundancy (which was 2 weeks after my finish date) and my last normal wages and holiday leave was paid out as normal in the next salary run. As soon as the salary was processed, my last payslip and P45 were posted out a few days later.

The only thing I would say is to get it in writing exactly how much money is owed to you - so an email or statement from them outlining the redundancy you are due, the wages you are due and the holidays. My old company had their payroll administered in the UK and they had no clue about the redundancy portion and I had to go back to them several times to make sure the correct amount was paid (in the UK it is taxable but here is is tax free up to a certain amount and with less than 3 years service yours wouldn't be liable to tax either). Then they calculated the number of weeks wrong (forgot to add the additional week). I was back and forward over this numerous times in the weeks before I left. I would imagine it would be a total pain to resolve it once you have actually left. So at the very least get it in writing what you are getting down to the last cent and when it will be paid.
