Have never read that but I have two books by Joe Irving "Training Springers" and it's classed by most as the bible for springers

have the 2 books mentioned above but i always find myself going back to joe irvings book. top class in fairness.the working springer spaniel by keith erlandson is also excellent.

Hi berretta man found 3 books on Amazon by Joe Irving training spaniels gundogs their learning chain and do it yourselfgundogs training which of the 3 would you recommend for training rough shooting springers

I think that they are all reprints of the same book but not 100% on this..
The first two you mentioned would be the most popular one is hardback and the learning chain is softback
Amazon is where I got mine but they took 2 weeks to come..

Peter Moxon books are excellent I trained to a very high standard using both his books

But you must put in the time with any young dog

Get the basic 100% before moving on. IMO

Good luck and enjoy your dog
