    Anyone know where the LE Orla and LE Eithne are off to? Seen early this morning on ais entering the English Channel.

    There's an English patrol vessel slightly ahead of them so one imagines some kind of joint exercise. Strange they let the AIS on.

    Probably a training exercise. Theyve all been following the same track for the last while. AIS not needed to be switched off for training?

    The RN no longer have enough ships to patrol the channel, the Irish NS have stepped in to assist.....

    Exactly. Both are due on Courtesy visit to Portsmouth today, along with FS Pluvier,
