Good phone in its day but not worth 50 quid.

An n8 would be a better option imo, bigger screen, better camera etc and no customs to deal with and an EU warranty.

I've bought stuff from that site before and have not had a problem. I am in the market for a smartphone upgrade and I find it an invaluable resource for price comparisons and would not have an issue with buying off it with the only provisio is that you have to factor in the courier delivery costs into the price as the 'standard mail' free delivery can mean a 3-4 week wait which is really not on if your looking for a mobile.

It's a legitimate site, part of the Alibaba group http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alibaba_Group but be aware that it's a marketplace site so you are dealing with different suppliers. Like ebay, check feedback & reviews of the items/suppliers etc. Just because some people say they haven't had any problems doesn't mean you are dealing with the same company.

Try hongkongeek, they have a "no customs duty commitment". They will mark the item as a gift or a value of > €22 to maximise chances of you not getting caught, but if you do they will refund you!

I'm not aware of any instances where they have gone back on this & have generally heard good reviews about them, mainly to do with tablets rather than phones though.

I'm pretty sure these old phones are sold as "Refurbished", but not listed on the as as such. I contacted a seller about an old-ish HTC phone, and when I contacted them to see if it was new but they had said it was refurbished.

And when they say refurbished, I'm pretty sure they mean its in used condition.

Whats better for €50 with a xenon flash?

Great price for 50 quid. I still use N86/N96 type phones, hate touch screens. I have 2 N86's and several E52's in a drawer as backup. Might order this as well.

no it's not a "copy", it's a knockoff that only resemble S4 visually. wouldn't touch it with a barge pole

Ended up buying one of these and an N96 as well. Came to 120. The resale value for old Nokia Symbian phones is excellent as well.

I tried to buy a pair of boots. From what my experience, all I can say is that if things go wrong and the seller wants to raise the price after you purchased, or decides to send you something else YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF OUTRAGEOUSLY ON YOUR OWN.
Customer service will only stall (or even end the chat session unexpectedly), opening a complaint is just as good as doing nothing and you are on your own. I have read happy stories as well as many stories of people still claiming refunds. I'm not risking it EVER again.
