iPad Freezing after installing iOS7

I have installed iOS7 on my iPhone 5 and on my iPad 3. The phone is looking good, nice fluid operation. But the iPad seems a bit slower than both the phone and the old iOS6 on the iPad; and I am getting an occasional freeze. Not on all apps at the same time. Just now for example on my e-mail, but other apps eg Facebook, seem to be working ok. I had to power off to get the e-mail going again. Coincidence perhaps. But has anyone experienced this, and does anyone know if it is viewed as an emerging problem? I have seen one or two comments in reviews about the slower operation of iOS7 on the iPad but nothing about programmes freezing.

Have you tried to reset all settings?

Thanks. I haven't really done anything yet because its an occasional problem and I'm not sure that it is owing to iOS7. I'm not entirely sure what "reset all settings" means but I have done a hard reset by holding down the power and on/off buttons simultaneously. I probably should have done that anyway after I installed iOS7 last week.
PS I should have mentioned that Boards.ie also froze (before the hard reset) which is why I am writing this on my laptop.
