I hope to get a ticket. Yet another plus point for Lighthouse being the best cinema in Dublin. :)

Should be a great atmosphere at it but no way on earth I could wait til after 6pm to watch it. Also, what if some plonker came along and did this while you're queuing up outside!

The question mark over my head now is whether it'll be screened in 4K, as opposed to just Netflix 1080P.

Where would they get a 4K copy? I didn't know that was a thing that existed with BB.

Sony already offer 4k downloads of Breaking Bad for those with TVs that can play it.

Though its hardly a deal breaker for me if it isn't that.

dont see it why not-most movies 20y old where filmed with Film that had dvd resolution and above,so nowadays cameras they use should have no troubles filming at 4k resolution. But as for getting copy of just released episode would be almost impossible i guess.

Some of us don't get to watch it until 9 or 10 on Mondays due to work and all that nonsense! :)

Yeah, I just had this idea that all TV was digital 1080p or something. I didn't know it was approached like film. Breaking Bad would look amazing in 4K.

Waiting 'til 6:15 is a dealbreaker for me! I've taken the morning off work to watch it because I'm cool like that :)

Luckily some of us work from home some days and have an hour at lunch to watch the latest episode. ;)

Some of us are jealous of some of us.

Yeah BB is one of the few shows that still shoots on 35MM film too.

Whatever about asking for 4K, getting a 35MM print would be nuts. :pac:

Lighthouse have sent out the newsletters now. The question for the competition is:

In the 4th season of the show, Skyler White travels to the Four Corners Landmark. She flips a coin twice. Which state does the coin land in the second time?

    Arizona
    New Mexico
    Colorado
    Utah

As I can't be arsed looking up the episode in question it would be super-cool if someone could just tell me (and others ITT probably) :pac:

Colorado is the answer. It landed there both times, then she moved it into NM with her foot

Jesus how lazy can you be - only takes a quick google search. Less chance of any of us getting tickets now!

Oh give over. Anyone entering the competition is unlikely to enter the wrong answer anyway.

I just did a live chat with Netflix to see if they had tickets spare.

Nice girl, coincidently located in Colorado, explained that this is not a Netflix organised event but they are co-operating as Lighthouse is screening Netflix's stream so it won't be 4k.

I was surprised that the cinema has a Netflix account and wonder if they screen all their films from it!:D

Its just me but I would hate to watch it with loads of other people. Especially if they are eating.

In that part of town some of them might be 'cooking'!

For me, once FX UK lost the rights to Breaking Bad after Season 1 in ‘09, watching it on the laptop with earphones (We had our new born baby in our bedroom) became a bit of a tradition that I’ve kept ever since, so wouldn’t have it any other way for the finale

How do you enter the competition? I signed up for membership too late. Is there an email address you have to send the answer to?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,678 ✭✭✭Selik

    Anybody get a place?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,783 ✭✭✭heebusjeebus

I didn't get an email anyway. The newsletter said they'd only email winners.

There is likely to be at least one person there to act the bollix.

I'll be happy to do my "black lady in the cinema" Scary Movie stereotype in the comfort of my own home. :)

Good luck to those who entered in for tickets! :)
I think I'd only like to see it in the cinema if I'd already watched it live the night before. Otherwise I'd end up punching a serial cougher/throat clearer in the face or something. :o

If anyone got tickets and can't make it I'll happily take them off you :-)
