Its up to the club to know where the boundaries are not the NARGC, keep on to the committee.

Not all clubs have maps. I used to be in one that handed out copies of a map at every agm of updated grounds etc. The fields we had permission on were in green, sanctuary's were in orange and definite "no go's" were in red. I think they printed it from google maps then edited it. The one Im in now doesnt even have signs on the gates so its very confusing

Thats a regular question i ask in our club.
Usually met with a "we'll see"

What happens if i end up on some lunatic farmers land thats not in club ground?

I know its probably a veeeerrry long shot but if he wants to approach gaurds for trespassing??

or gun club is sh*t for doing anything, they put up no signs, dont hold meetings, etc so what would be the best way to get a map would it be ta google it?

Lads have to say if your in a club and its not doing what you want. The AGM is your time/ the members time to put the thoughts forward on what they want and expect of the club and also they can elect a new committee if the sitting one is not up to the job. Get in their with your voice. As regards to the land problem. The club should have a map at least ESP if it is beside another club

If they can't organise a paper map they'ld harldy have the brains to do a map on google.

Well, you can hardly brand a property owner a "lunatic" for not being pleased at finding armed men trespassing on his private property. Said armed men, having not researched where they can legally hunt, should be thankful if the "lunatic" only calls the Gardai.
PS. what profession provides the bulk of the gun clubs permissions area?

Well i say lunatics from experience of having men running/driving towards my direction full belt and roaring at the tops of their lungs.
You say im in the wrong but if clubs cant provide adequate explanations of club grounds, what can be done?its going to happen eventually.

Not everyone that joins a gun club knows every farmer in the parish
I have tried to find out, and isnt that the nature of the thread??

This all sounds very messy. But the long and short of it is that if your club has boundaries with other clubs then their has to be a map of some sort ! If not in your club then in the other. Have you approached the other clubs committees ? And asked them of what they see as their boundaries ? If your in the NARGC you could approach them and ask if they could find out. The county sec might be able to help. As for your own club if you can get enough memberson your side you could ask of emergency club meeting to address the situation and you would be in your rights to go to this measure. As you can see the last thing you need is to be on another clubs ground because that only goes one way SOUTH !!!

I would demand a map or listings when dues are due or I would walk away.

If maps were shared as freely as dues, I would join a few myself.

sounds like you have a right clique running the club, who want to keep it all to themselves. Are they just trying to discourage you, in the hope you will in elsewhere?
If they refuse to tell where the boundaries are, you will have to get a quorum of members together and force their hand. Or walk the boundaries with someone who knows. Hostilities can flare up, that take years to diffuse.

I have a good idea of the boundarys its just the other clubs saying where it is,is its hit and miss,as there is alot in the gun club that dont shoot where they can

Most of our boundries run along rivers or roads, but some farmers may have land in two clubs area leading to "flexible" boundries. There is also the fact that boundries that were drawn up 20 plus years ago may have been on maps that are lost. Secretaries change and documents get lost. Get a map of you own and try to get some idea at the next AGM.
