    What car?

I had the DS-G3 versions of these on my MKV GTI and found them superb, especially in the wet. As for wear they were above average.

I was paying about €160 per corner.

    It's for a Saab 9-3 Vector Sport.

OSI - are those one of the websites where you order the tyres for delivery only? Where do you get them fitted??

Finally someone looking to buy decent tyres lol

I would try Discount tyres in Blanchardstown first, they've been beating the online retailers for prices for me for a few years now.

I can't comment on the F1's for efficiency but for grip in both wet and dry the are simply a phenomenal tyre - i'm curently nearing the end of life on my current set and i've got around 14k from a set of 225/40/18's (remapped Audi S3) which i never thought was possible, the last car i had 18's on was a 270bhp Bora and if i got 11 i was doing well (that's from the older Asymmetric 1's and PS3's)

    you won't be disappointed.

I would second Discount Tyres in Blanchardstown ... At the time I was buying Eagle F1's they were very close to pricing on Eiretyres

Nope, I ended up going with my local tyre shop. If I got them from Camskill, I would be paying the difference in savings to get them fitted anywhere around town as I would have supplied them myself.

    I paid around €800 for the tyres/fitting/balancing/alignment (2 x 225/45/18 and 2 x 255/35/18)

I paid 120 x4 only have 2 on ATM though as had 2 good tyres for the back and around 40-50 quid on fitting balancing and alignment

Camskill have them for €107. Not sure what the delivery is like though, so might be cheaper on EireTyres.

delivery was about £20 for 4 tyres last time i bought

They are good prices for that size when I had a laguna I was paying over 125 a corner for lesser brands.
