    Hiya,
My laptop came with a years trial of Office 2010, which has now expired. I do have a copy of Office 2007 which I'm happy to just go and use now. Should I do an uninstall of the 2010 version fist - or can I just run the install of 2007, and it will all figure itself out?

    thanks

    Hey there,

Best course of action, in my opinion, would be to uninstall 2010, reboot, then do the fresh install of 2007.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Regards,

    Keith

You can install 2007 and it will work independently of 2010. We have that setup here for supporting customers of both versions.

If you've no plans to use 2010 again/buy it then I'd uninstall, reboot and install 2007 as Keith suggested above.

You could also look into Office 365 (latest version of Office for a few euro a month) or one of the free alternatives like OpenOffice or LibreOffice
