Have an altezza and was driving Home last night... Heard a ticking noise . It started to get worse so I pulled in and the car cut out. Checked engine and there was a coolant pipe leaking . I let the car cool down and it started ok . Just wondering will much damage have been done?

How much coolant is in car now? Did it overheat?

If it overheated, all bets are off. I'd have a mechanic look over it.

You may have warped the head running it with little to no coolant

Head gasket and warped head likely, ticking was more than likely you hearing the combustion through the newly formed gap between head and block.

If the Coolant is getting the pressurized; it should come out the back of the Expansion tank first. The cap is built to release coolant.
When you installed the new Radiator/Fluid did you purge all the air out of the system? Air causes higher temps, expands with heat, and could cause your hose to burst.
Possible your Thermostat is not opening also.

Fixed the pipe yesterday and filled the radiator with water. Found out that no water was being pumped around so I reckon the water pump is gone. Maybe that was the pump that was making the ticking noise that started
