I was looking at bringing in a 04 Audi A6 TDI. The ROS has it valued at 10k. With vrt of 2600 euro. I then looked up a 05 new model 2.0 tdi and that was valued at 6500 euro, with vrt of 1800. Even the 06 was valued less and vrt was cheaper.Whats going on? The old boy was going to give me his car the 04 Audi but vrt of 2600 for a nearly 10 year old car is a bit mad. Any ideas on this dilemma?

    You're doing it wrong.

    I just got a figure pf under €2,000 for a Jan 2004 A6 2.0Tdi SE 138BHP 04DR with 100,000 miles.

Thats it . Is your car the newer model? the one i'm getting is the c5 1.9 Tdi. The newer model had less vrt than the older model c5.

Newer model would have lower emissions which makes a difference.

Actually the 1.9 was at 27% and the 2.0Tdi was 30%. I think the omsp of 10k for 04 c5 and omsp of 6.5k for the 05 2.0Tdi is were the difference comes in.

They are ridiculous values set by the revenue, om must stand for optimistic in their head.;)

You should calculate it the other way around for a VRT rebate and see what figures they come up with..:)
