    There are so many I don't know where to start. Can you be more specific about what kind of things you're looking for? There's the very basic that you're teaching adults instead of children, you set your own curriculum and exams, pay etc.

    What are the key differences between teaching and lecturing?


    Those who attend lectures are passive participants - those who attend teaching classes are (ideally) active.

    Unlike in teaching , lectures also tend not to have individuals or perhaps a group actively disrupting the lecturer as a fairly routine feature. And if you do disrupt a lecture you'll get short shrift if Mammy rings up blaming the lecturer.
