I just did mine today. It is a very reasonable DIY job tbh.

Its tricky to do the outer screen replacement as it has to be heated and gently separated from the digitiser beneath. The digitiser is about 10 times more delicate than the outer glass so you can imagine how delicate a procedure it is.
Also after replacement of just the outer glass, it is only fixed on by tape under the outer edges and not fixed with glue over the entire screen area as from the factory.
Fitting the complete digitiser on the other hand is an easy diy and will return phone to factory spec although the part will cost 130 euro plus.

Where did you get the glass Mick? I need one too.

Do you want an outer glass or the whole touch function?
Ive a blue outer screen that I will sell but the outer screen is a difficult job.
The whole screen plus digitiser is easy to replace.

Its only the outer glass I need Mick but I wouldn't be very confident changing it..

If you aren't confident changing it just go to a phone repair shop or FonFix. I got mine done for 150 when I smashed my glass. It's worth it in the end.

Did this myself during the week (glass only).

Handy enough job but the touch screen isn't the same at all since, have to really mash my fingers into the screen.

You can buy the replacement screen on Ebay or Amazon and other sites. Ask for a quote with you supplying the replacement parts, and without. It may be just as cheap to let them do the whole thing.

A Complete Screen and digitizer can be €85 delivered.
If the screen isn't broken, and it's just the outer glass, that can be bought for less than €10 delivered.

Ideally the company you ring and ask for a quote should ask those questions, and there should be a massive difference in their quotes.

Just the outer glass breaking is quite common, and for a company to make money, and cover their costs and labour, €40 - €50 would be reasonable.

LCD smashed is a different job, and parts are more expensive.

If You have any marks to the frame around the screen, you can buy the new screen and digitiser pre assembled into the frame for a small bit more money. You end up with a phone looking as new.
