Hi. We had a leak in the mains pipe in the garden. This has now been repaired. The water is flowing freely from all cold water taps, but no flow at all from hot taps or shower heads. Cananyone help?

There should be a valve in the hot press area that controls flow to hot taps. Check that it is not turned off.

Thanks will give that a try.

Just checked the ballcock. Seems fine. Sitting three quarters above the waterline. Put pressure on it. It moves up and down freely.

You have an airlock. The best way to clear it is if you have a bath mixer taps turn on the hot tap then turn on the cold hold your hand over the spout for around 10 seconds then release turn off cold tap and then see if hot tap will run freely.
You may have to repeat this a few times or you can do the same at kitchen sink providing you have a single flow mixer

    Hi

Tried your suggestion in the kitchen. No mixer taps in the bathroom. Got hot water tap flowing in kitchen. Pressure not as good as it used to be. No hot water in the rest of the house, bathrooms or shower.

    Should we keep trying this?

Once you get water to hot tap the rest should follow.Leave hot tap on bath open and repeat then try should sort it.The shower is a harder one what type if shower

Turn off all hot taps then Take off the shower head off hose, turn shower hot to on, hold hose as low as possible and see if water flows, if it doesent, blow as hard as hell back up the hose and then release.
Same for cold if nessary. That should work. If not call the professionals.

Do not try any of the above if its an electric shower.

Only try this if it a manual mixers shower,
