Is the factory price the best that's going or is anyone actively looking for them.

39 views and no replies in two hours.........a lot of ewes slaughtered this year.
Is it more than usual or has the horse meat really reduced the demand for processed meat to this extent,
The factories don't seem to want much of them !!!!

Id imagine its a case of taking what the factory is offering, not even any recent ads on done deal of people looking for culls

Don't know rancher. Havn't heard of anyone looking for any the last month or more. I've a few to go as well. It will be the factory for them.

Probably same here, have 108 really good ewes and didn't want to throw them away.....god €1.90/kg is a rubbish price

What. Are they gone back that much or were they for further feeding?

About 2 months ago there was a fellow buying in tullamore for a contract in London. Was paying up to a 100 for well fleshed ones. Was there 3 weeks ago and rage best of them were only making 70-75.
