Have a buyer for my pistol who's living in the UK. Any problems with using a courier to get it shipped to him? Would customs stop it because of regs/UKARA etc?

Wouldn't think there would be a problem as your shipping within the EU

It is fine as long as you don't use AnPost. Apparantly they will not ship any Airsoft devices now!!
This is what they told me at the PO 2 weeks ago.

Within Ireland no problem, but to post to the UK or further is against there policy according to my local sorting office.
I was sending a G17 to a mate in the UK, marked it as toy parts.
But the Post mistress did say that if they inspected it and found it to be a Replica/airsoft device it would be go for destruction.

Used to send stuff all the time so I presume it is a recent ting.

Can't really see the difference with being allowed to send them in country, but not out!

Think I will be using DPD/Interlink Express from now on.

To be honest Rookie, I think your local Post Mistress was talking crap. I posted a dBoys Scar to the UK recently and clearly marked it as Airsoft Gear, I have also posted other Airsoft Part as well. Although it cost me over 40 Euro to post it recorded.

I suspect your local Mistress is possibly against it personally and as such didnt want anything to do with it.

Normally things are not checked leaving the country and as long as its an AEG and doesnt contain gas or fluid then it should be fine as it wont be checked on receiving end either. I would recommend you get a UKARA number though just in case,.

Well I am only going by the fact that up my way there is no issue so I am baffeled as to why the rural post office would have an issue with it as they make a fortune out of me shipping to Uk.

it might be the fact it was mislabeled, still, destroying it seems a bit extreme
