Changing car how do I swap eflow tag?

Hi folks, changing car on Wednesday what do I need to do to switch my eflow tag to the new car? I'm assuming I will have to leave the tag holder stuck to the windscreen in my current car? Will eflow send out a new tag holder? We are also buying a second car so can you have two tags on the one eflow account?

Also while I'm at it. I'll be using the m50 every day now, driving from Dublin north county to citywest. Is the 2 euro toll the only sensible option?

    Cheers mick

so yes you can get a new holder sent out to you...i've had this done before - however if your tag is really old then they'll have to send you out a new tag as they wont have the holders in stock anymore as they've changed in the last couple of years to a much tinier tag.

when you've sold your car get onto eflow straight away to cancel the association between the old car and that tag. However you WILL need a new car reg to assign the tag to. If you haven't bought the new car yet then you'll have to return the tag...by registered post because if it doesn't get delivered you'll get charged at least 20 euro (this also happened to me so i registered the tag and then got a new one when i finally bought my new car...had a gap of about a month between the two)

yes you can have two tags on the same account. I have two.

Thanks it's a secondhand car we are getting and will be doing the exchange Wednesday. The tag we have probably is five years old at this stage

well when i said "new" I meant a car that did not previously belong to you :D I don't think I'll ever buy a brand new car but that's a whooooole different story!

so i think you should ring eflow and let them know. The tags have been upgraded since you got yours so they won't have holders for it anymore...unless you can do a job and just pull the holder off the car windscreen...pretty sure we did this when we switched another car...you may have to get some sticky back tape if the stickiness is gone but it'll solve the problem without having to send the tag you have currently back to them by registered post...

    Hi Mick,

As the posters have already advised when changing cars you do have to give us a quick call to have the tags reassigned. A new holder can also be ordered on the call.

On a tag account you can have up to 6 cars covered but you will need separate tags for each car.

If you want me to look into anything for you please PM me your details.

    Kind Regards,
    Maureen
