Will a UK PSN card work on an EU/Irish psn account?

Hi Just wondering if you purchase say a £35 PSN card from a uk retailer, can you apply it to your irish PSN account or will it fail to update your wallet?
Anyone know?

ok just wondering why I see a site like this http://www.cdkeys.com/playstation-network-psn/psn-cards/playstation-network-card-35-ps-vita-ps3

which seems to state that a £35 card will work with UK/EU actually states that "Please note this code will only work on UK/EU PSN accounts."

UK is in the EU, so technically they are correct.
See the UK flag on the box, it's for the UK.
