Horizon box Error Code 1150

    Hi,

    Had the horizon box since the trail and worked grand till today. When i now turn it on it get an error saying the the box is unable to fully complete the installation. Power the box off and on. Error code 1150. It then gives me two options to either initialise disk or restart box.

    I tried restarting box but keep getting then same problem. I don't want to initialise disk as i guess that will wipe all my recordings..

    Tried ringing customer support but have to wait until tomorrow as the tech department is closed after 6:30...

    Anyone else had this problem and did you get it fixed?

    Hi,

    In mycase broadband and phone worked fine it was only a TV problem.

    I had that same problem 1150 about 3 weeks back and I rang UPC who advised me to unplug HD cable and restart and plug it back in. That didnt work and they asked me to plug in a scart lead and that was unsuccessful. They had never heard of code 1150 or so they told me. Anyway a call was logged to dispatch a technician. I have second box (not a new horizon just the original box) so I used that instead and it worked fine. Next day I decide to try the "broken" box from its new location in the bedroom and it worked fine so I brought it down stairs and it was perfect again so i cancelled the tech call. Now Ive just got the same problem today.

    I know this does not help you but just to let you know that you are not the only one. Im suffering with you. :D

    Solution in my case: The tech man came today and took away the horizon box and replaced it with a brand new one.
