installing a fireplace into a single story extension

I have a single story extension (36sm) in size on the back of my house

It is north facing so from now till next April its bloody freezing
The heating system just doesn't cut it even with additional pumps installed into the heating system. We end up not using the room really from November till march

I'm looking to install possibly a WOOD BURNING, LOG BURNER, MULTI FUEL STOVE in the extension.

I believe the flue then needs to be the same height as the house? Is that the current chimney or just the gutters?

Is it a simple enough job?
Any idea what type of cost would be involved?

    Thanks

    Cm
