ASUS U57A Screen

    Hi I just purchased an ASUS U57A second hand. ' have it about 3 weeks. The Screen has gone gaga ie no picture not black but lines and nothing intelligible on it. I have connect an external monitor and that's fine the computer is working fine.

    Any suggestions on what the cause might be or how to go about repairing???

    Can you see any ink bleed or cracks?

    How hot is it running?

    Hi Roast,

    The computer is not running hot ( im using it here typig to you now). the screen is mainly grey with about 3 inches on the right hand side is white with green blue and red vertical lines.
    i'm not sure what you mean by bleed.. but there is a black curved link.. for all the world it looks like a crack.. its not a tangible crack ( at least on on the surface).
